Saying “I do” at sunset is an ultimate dream of many couples and a must for many looking for a Darwin Wedding Venue. Oh so romantic and never dull. Here in the NT the sunsets are famous for its soft light and magic glow. Most couples think of white sandy beaches and a summer breeze when they picture a sunset wedding. But what if there is a location with a beachy look and feel but on an urban rooftop! We are fortunate here at the Ramada Suites Zen Quarter in Darwin to have both. At our venue you will be able to enjoy the beautiful Darwin sunset in style.
Urban weddings are the latest trend in wedding land. Modern couples of all ages in the heart of the city. Full of life and ready to for an energetic life together. But what about that soft romantic touch everyone is secretly still looking for?
Next weekend we are hosting another romantic wedding on the deck of our popular private Darwin Penthouse and we can’t wait to see another couple taking their first steps in life officially as husband and wife. Located on the 16th floor it’s guaranteed to be spectacular. Our full level penthouse has 360 degree views of Darwin. Just imagine the wedding photos from this spectacular Darwin Wedding Venue! The only wedding location in the Territory where you can watch both the sunrise and sunset, Mindil beach and the Darwin Harbour plus the most interesting vantage point of the Darwin CBD skyline. The perfect combination for a sunset wedding.
DARWIN SUNSET TIMES
But when should you start a sunset ceremony to create that perfect vibe?
Timing your ceremony is most challenging when it comes to organising your sunset wedding. You don’t want to miss out on that perfect light! Sunset weddings are all about creating the perfect moment that you and your loved one will remember forever and share that magical moment with your wedding guests as the night sets in and the candles at the reception begin to glow.
If you’re having a 20 – 30 minute ceremony, we always advise our couples to start the ceremony one hour before sunset. That way the sun is still setting for that magical glow while exchanging your vows and enough light for the photographer to make beautiful shots. After the ceremony the light is still good enough to make those memorable shots with your parents, a group photo with guests and your newlywed portraits.
If you are planning a sunset wedding yourself, have an amazing wedding and have lots of fun organising it!
