Warm weather, vibrant colours, musical sounds and the beautiful smell of international foods. If you stood still with your eyes closed for just a moment the languages heard would blow your mind with people from all over the globe coming together in one place, in a relaxed beautiful setting. Mindil Beach Sunset Markets are a truly fabulous way to spend your Thursday and Sunday evenings whilst in Darwin.
Located off Gilruth Avenue near to the Darwin Sky city Casino with parking available the Mindil Beach Sunset Market is an easily accessible event.
Mindil Beach Markets Food Stalls
One thing that makes this Sunset Market a total must is the vast array of food stalls available. From Thai to Greek, Spanish to a good old fashioned roast dinner there is absolutely nothing you could want for to fill up on in time for the amazing firework show available on opening and closing nights. They even have a vegan and vegetarian stand which does an excellent buttered corn on the cob for you to sink your teeth into. Personally I enjoyed nothing more whilst awaiting the opening night fireworks then sinking my teeth into a Nutella, banana and strawberry crepe! I recommend having a good look throughout the Mindil markets before making up your mind on what to try as the possibilities are almost endless!
After you have had your fill of all the amazing food products I totally recommend you to have a browse through all the wonderful and quirky stalls at the Mindil Sunset Markets. Handmade garments, crocodile artifacts, beautifully crafted jewelry and even a stall from where you can purchase your own gear to set up a street performance are all on offer as you weave around the stands.
